My 5 favorite apps for the classroom

Do you use technology in your classroom? Do you sometimes have trouble incorporating technology
into your classroom? Today I am going to talk all about technology! I have 5 top apps and websites that I
love when using technology in my classroom.

The first app that I am going to talk about is Google classroom. If you have any type of technology
in your classroom, you need to be using Google classroom. This app is awesome! It allows you to
create classes, assign work, and even grade the work for your students. It really helps you to use digital
documents in your classroom. This is a program that I use every single day. You do need to have
Google emails for your students in order to use it. If you are a Google apps for education school, your
school can easily create the emails for each of your students.

Next up is a wonderful website called Kahoot. It allows you to create review games for your
students and then use their devices as personal response systems. The site also gives you tons of
data about how your students answered the questions. It lets you quickly see what you need to reteach
to your students. The best thing is that your students just think they are playing a fun game.

Xtra math is another great website that allows your students to practice their math facts. This is a
website as well as an app. One of the things that I love about Xtra math is that when you use the app,
it comes up with who is next to practice their facts. This site also does a great job of keeping track of
the students data. It even has letters that you can print out and send home to the parents so they know
what facts the student has mastered and what still needs to be practiced.

Seesaw is a really fun app as well. This one is only an app, so it is best if you have at least one
iPad to use in your classroom. This app allows your students to upload their work in a digital portfolio.
You can also give the parents access, so they can see what the child did at school. It is a great way
to keep parents informed about what is happening in the classroom. This app has so many other things
that it can do, that I haven’t even found them all yet.

The final website and app that I am going to talk about is Padlet. This site is a great way for your
students to display their thinking about a topic. It creates digital post-its for them to use. I really like to
display a daily question and then have them answer and comment on other students thoughts. It is
also a great way to have your students display their work from Google classroom and have them
comment on each others projects.

Well, that is all that I have for today! Do you have any apps that you love to use in the classroom?
Let me know about them in the comments.
